I Get by with a Little Help from my Friends

Can we all just agree that friends are the best? Well, that makes talented friends even better. And we’re lucky to be surrounded by a bunch of them. One of whom is animator extraordinaire, Bryan Maxwell. In between life with two kids under 3, Bryan managed to find the time to create this animation of our logo just for fun!

We’re probably bias, but we just can’t stop watching it. We’re all, “Which letter is going to get there first? Where’s the tagline??” 🙂 Thanks Bryan for creating an awesome ode to Rosy Events!

Guess who turned ten! The Perfect Thing’s Anniversary Celebration

I was so excited when the wonderful ladies at Wheaton’s The Perfect Thing asked me to help plan their tenth anniversary celebration. There couldn’t be two ladies whose hard work is more deserving of a celebration.

To add to the fun, they completely trusted my ideas for the weekend’s events. Even the ones I thought may be a bit more outlandish. (Hiding 10th anniversary coins all over the store good for 50% off your purchase!?!? Proud to say this turned out to be a HUGE hit.)

The wonderfully talented Elizabeth Tornabene designed all the advertisements and graphics for the weekend. They really spoke to the celebration and the refined pieces for which the Perfect Thing is known.

The weekend’s celebration kicked off with a book signing by the incredible Judith Miller. Judith is not only one of the world’s foremost experts on antiques (having written over 100 books on the subject), but she is also an absolute doll to work with. I was thrilled that we were able to get her and The Perfect Thing on WGN Morning News! Click here to see the clip and get her tips on what to avoid when antiquing.

The Perfect Thing also hosted a beautiful trunk show featuring the antique jewels of Lori Mesa. Aren’t these pieces just stunning?

We ended the weekend with a day of free appraisals from area experts including The Perfect Thing’s Judith Martin and Kate Martin.

All weekend long, we offered special promotions, scratch cards for great discounts, and a free drawing for The Perfect Thing gift certificates. The party was enhanced by refreshments provided by The Perfect Thing’s great neighbors, Nothing Bundt Cake and Chik-Fil-A. You just couldn’t keep from celebrating while in the store!

Huge congrats to everyone at The Perfect Thing on ten great years. We at Rosy Events look forward to watching you grow for many more!
