Operation FINALLY HOME home dedication in Clarksville, TN

C&W Industrial Conference Nashville: Part Three

Remember that time I told you about how we surprised a deserving veteran and his family with a NEW, MORTGAGE-FREE HOME on stage at day two of the C&W Industrial Conference in Nashville? I know it’s hard to believe, but the third and final day of this conference only got better. In 2014, we added a volunteer event to this conference as an opportunity for attendees to network with one another in a no-pressure environment. It proved popular enough that in 2015 there were so many volunteers we had to split the group in two! Half of the group had a wonderful time at the Second Harvest Food Bank where they packed a staggering 11,000 pounds of food for the area’s children, families, and seniors affected by hunger. And given C&W’s commitment to veterans, we thought it only fitting that the other half of the volunteers spent the morning putting together 100 care packages for deployed military members through Operation Troop Aid. Following the volunteer event, everyone was invited out to see the home dedication. It was a truly incredible way to end a great conference and send everyone home feeling proud to have been a part of it.

C&W Industrial’s 2nd Annual Charity Golf Outing

Charity events have a special place in my heart. I love the warm-fuzzies they create for everyone involved. Especially when you find just the right charity to fit your organization. Last September I had the chance to plan Cushman & Wakefield Industrial’s Second Annual Charity Golf Outing. Planning the first year was a blast, but after selecting Operation Finally Home as year two’s benefiting organization I knew we would blow the first year out of the water. Everyone had a great time AND we were able to raise $40,000 for Operation Finally Home! The day started with lunch and a bloody mary bar, continued into 18 holes of golf on Bolingbrook Golf Club’s beautiful greens, and concluded with cocktail hour, dinner and a silent auction. It was a wonderful day! I only wish I had captured more pictures of the fun. Fore!!! Charity Golf Outing!

I had a blast working with the good folks at Cushman & Wakefield again on a charity golf outing to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. I wish I had better pictures, but suffice it to say the weather was beautiful, everyone had a great time, and we raised a whopping $50,000 for Wounded Warrior Project! It was such a great day, I only got pictures of the first half of things. (DOH!) You’ll just have to imagine a wonderful cocktail hour, dinners, and awards that concluded the day. Oh, and I must give a special shout out to the wonderful SMT Events. They helped us reach our donation goal by setting us up with a great silent auction, exciting scratch off cards, and fabulous on-course games with prizes worth more than $60,000! If you’re looking to host a charity event of any kind, I highly recommend you reach out to SMT Events.
